Designated the nation's 10th national park (May 11, 1910), Glacier National Park is a popular vacation destination. West Glacier, the western gateway to the park, has accommodations to suit your needs, whether you visit during winter to experience skiing or snowshoeing, or challenge the white water rapids or hike on the park's many trails during summer. Just remember, weather in the mountains can be fickle--90 degrees and clear one moment, and then snow showers the next.
This West Glacier cabin offers all the comforts of home. This spacious (2,000 square feet), private cabin, fully furnished with hand-hewn log furniture and exquisite antiques, is located one mile from Glacier Park's west entrance and bordered by forest land and the Middlefork River. Shopping, restaurants, cafes and a golf course are all within walking distance.
Create culinary delights in the fully equipped kitchen, have a private chef prepare fabulous meals or enjoy mountain views from the large wooden balcony as your steaks sizzle on the outdoor grill.
As of Dec 2009, room rates are $325 per night based on four-person occupancy ($10 for each additional person), plus a Montana bed tax. This non-smoking, no pet cabin sleeps four comfortably (or up to eight with the two sleeper sofas).
