Cabins near Winterplace Ski Resort on Flat Top Mountain in West Virginia can accommodate large and small groups in every price bracket. Staying near Winterplace means that you can take full advantage of the resort’s over 90 ski-able acres, including a snow-tubing park and 28 well-groomed slopes, all but two of which are open for night skiing until 10 p.m. Winterplace is located in the southeastern part of the state, and the surrounding communities offer accommodations to suit every budget.
Located 14 miles north and a 24-minute drive from Winterplace, The Cabins at Pine Haven offers four one-bedroom, five two-bedroom, and one three-bedroom cabin, all with modern decor. The individually named cabins are nestled in a wooded area with clearings for a playground, sand volleyball court, nine-hole disc golf course, horseshoe pit, and a covered picnic shelter with tables and a grill. All cabins have wooden floors and walls include Wi-Fi access, flat-screen cable, televisions in the living room and bedrooms, a DVD and VCR player in the living room, air conditioning, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and a hot tub on the deck. All two- and three-bedroom cabins have two bathrooms. For larger groups, there is a four-bedroom lodge with all the same amenities as the other cabins, and two bathrooms. All cabins are nonsmoking. Pets are allowed in one of the one-bedroom and one of the two-bedroom cabins. Cabin rates for weekends and holidays are higher than those for weekdays. The cabins are within walking distance of many fast food restaurants and an antique shop.

Camp Creek Cabin is only 12 miles from Winterplace Resort. Camp Creek is a non-smoking two-bedroom and two-bathroom cabin built in 2009 with a porch overlooking the property that includes a stream and stocked pond for fishing. Guests can appreciate the view from the hot tub on the porch. The cabin sleeps up to 14 and includes free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a log burning stove, central heat and air conditioning, as well as a washer and dryer. All linens and an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels are provided. Guests should bring whatever extra materials they may need during their stay. A two-night minimum stay or a three-night minimum on holiday weekends is required. All reservations require a 50% credit card deposit. No pets or house parties are allowed in the cabin. Rates are seasonal and depend upon the number of guests. The weekend and holiday rate is higher than the weekday rate.

H&H Cabin lies 30 miles north along Interstate 77 and a half-hour drive from Winterplace. The quaint, economical cabin can sleep groups of up to five. Located near the Paint Creek Trail in the charming town of Pax, H&H Cabin has two bedrooms (one of which has bunk beds), cable TV, heat and air conditioning, a porch with rocking chairs, and an equipped kitchen with a microwave and plastic ware. There are several restaurants within a five-minute drive of the cabin. Also within five minutes is Plum Orchard Lake, which is considered one of the best bluegill fishing holes in the Eastern United States.
