Cabins Near Bentley, West Virginia

Located south of Morganstown, West Virginia, the Bentley area offers a number of lodging options, including cabins. There are three venues that provide cabins as an accommodation choice. Each is located in a park or forest area and/or in the scenic West Virginia mountains. Cabin styles among these three venues range from rustic to luxurious.
  1. Kumbrabow State Forest

    • This state park is located on the western side of the Highland Mountains and offers five cabins for guests to rent. These historic cabins offer wood-burning stoves, refrigerators, fireplaces, cooking utensils, linens and charcoal grills. There is no running water, but outhouses are available. Pets are allowed in some cabins, but a reservation via phone is required for pet stays. The four-person cabin is $54 per night during the week and $77 per night on the weekends. Weekly stays are $370. The rates for the three-person cabin are $78 for weeknights, $89 for weekends and $490 for the entire week. There are showers and laundry facilities on site.

    Golden Anchor Luxury Log Cabins and Restaurant

    • Only 25 miles away from the Bentley area and a few miles from ski resorts, Golden Luxury Log Cabins and Restaurant offers guests a range of cabin options, including family and honeymoon cabins. These large accommodations provide views of the surrounding mountains. Some of the amenities include hot tubs, porches, decks, satellite televisions and fully equipped modern kitchens. The rates for the family cabins are $225 and $250 per night. The honeymoon cabins are $165 on weeknights and $185 on weekends. The Golden Anchor Restaurant provides a fine dining option for guests.

    Holly River State Park

    • This 8,000-acre park, located in the mountains, is approximately 20 miles away from Bentley. Holly River, which offers 10 guest cabins, is the second largest state park in West Virginia. Five of these cabins accommodate two people, and the other five are each designed for four people. Each cabin has a bathroom with a shower, stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, linens and electric heat. During the summer, a two-person cabin may be rented for $70 on weekdays, $91 on weekends and $462 for the week. The four-person cabins each rent for $88 on weekdays, $110 on weekends and $572 for the week during the summer.
