Wanderlust World Wanderlust World For those wishing to stay in the park, Blackwater Falls offers 26 year-round vacation cabins for rent in a serene wooded setting. Each cabin comes completely furnished and has a bath, shower, stone fireplace and forced air furnace. For those wishing to bring a pet, the park has three pet-friendly cabins available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cabins have a minimum one-week rental during the summer months, from the second Monday in June through Labor Day. During any other time, cabins may be rented daily, for a weekend or longer. Minimum stays are also required during selected holiday weekends. Rates in 2010 for two people range from $94 per night in the winter to $121 per night in the spring/summer months. Weekends are extra. Cots and cribs can also be added for a small fee. The park offers pecial package deals throughout the year, including winter and spring discounts. Senior citizen discounts are also available.

Established in 1939, North Fork Cottages in Cabins, West Virginia, offers travelers 20 vacation cabins for rent in close proximity to Blackwater Falls State Park. Perfect for a romantic retreat or family gathering, North Fork Cottages offer guests a riverside setting on a private trout stream. Cabins range from one to four bedroom and can host anywhere from one to eight people. Considered luxury cabins, these log structures feature private hot tubs or indoor Jacuzzi tubs, gas fireplaces, dishwashers, microwaves, coffee makers, satellite TV with DVD, kitchen supplies and linens. The newest and largest cabin, Fly Rod Chronicles, is a 2,200 square foot, four-bedroom cabin featuring a basement with 50-inch television, washer/dryer and pool table. Rates in 2010 range from $99 per night for a one bedroom in the winter season to $119 per night in the prime season. The largest cabin ranges from $189 per night in the winter to $249 per night in the prime season. Only one cabin is pet-friendly.

Canaan Realty Sales & Rentals operates a large number of cabin rentals in the Canaan Valley region of West Virginia that are a short drive to Blackwater Falls State Park. Since each home is individually owned, decorations and amenities are available courtesy of the owners and cannot be guaranteed. The Northpoint community offers the closest rentals to Blackwater Falls. Six cabins are available in this neighborhood ranging from two to three bedrooms, with maximum occupancies ranging from four to six people. Many of these cabins offer hot tubs, fireplaces, cable television, VCR and DVD. Due to the mountain location of these cabins, several may require a four-wheel drive vehicle. Canaan Realty Sales & Rentals also rents three other cabins in the Canaan Valley area close to Blackwater State Falls. These cabins are ideal for larger groups and can host a maximum of eight to 10 people. Bedrooms range from four to five. All three of these cabins also have fireplaces. For all rentals, children under five are not included as part of the maximum occupancy for the cabin. Pets are only permitted at cabins designated as pet-friendly.
