Located a mile from the state park's Blackwater Lodge are 26 year-round vacation cabins, three of which are pet-friendly. Each furnished cabin has stone fireplaces, a forced-air furnace and bathrooms with showers. The cabins must be reserved for at least a week during the summer season, which runs from the second Monday in June through Labor Day. Any other time of year, the cabins may be rented for one- or two-day stays. Reservations may be made up to one year in advance.
Cabin guests may dine at the restaurant at the Blackwater Lodge, which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They may also swim at the lodge's indoor pool.

Twenty minutes south from Blackwater Falls State Park and also open year-round are the Golden Anchor Luxury Log Cabins and Restaurant in South Dryfork. The Golden Anchor offers the fully furnished Hillside and Pondview cabins, each with three bedrooms, a covered side porch, full kitchen, satellite television with DVD player, bed and bathroom linens and views of the Canaan Valley area. The four honeymoon cabins also have full kitchens, bed and bath linens, a shower for two and a private outdoor hot tub.
Dinner is available year-round at the on-site Golden Anchor Restaurant. High-speed Internet access is only available at the restaurant.

Also 20 minutes south of Blackwater Falls State Park is the Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center in Davis. The cabins at the Canaan Valley Resort State Park are available year-round and each has a full kitchen, a fireplace, baseboard heating and bed linens. The cabins range in size from two to four bedrooms and can accommodate four to 12 people.
The resort has several dining choices. The Hickory Room, the resort's main dining room, is open year round for breakfast and dinner. Also open year-round are the Laurel Lounge and Valley View Grill, which is a full-service bar, and Cafe Siena, which offers pizzas and salads. Cabin guests may use the arcade and billiard rooms in the Main Lodge and the indoor pool and fitness room at the Beech Club. The resort also offers seasonal activities, such as the outdoor pool in the summer and the Kidz Korner child-sitting service in the winter.
