Spruce Knob is the highest mountain peak in West Virginia. This peak is part of the Monongahela National Forest, which is one of the main attractions in the area with opportunities for viewing scenic areas, wading in gentle streams and watching wildlife. Visitors to this area may choose to stay in one of several log cabins located around Spruce Knob.
Yokum's Vacationland is located on a 1,000-acre horse farm, along the Potomac River. Its riverside location gives guests access to trout and bass fishing from the shore or swimming during the warmer months. Log cabins have fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens and linens. North Mountain WV Cabin Rentals are located in a secluded area in the middle of the Monongahela National Forest off of Route 28. Trails outside of the cabin rentals lead you to the top of Seneca Rocks. Guests can learn to mountain climb at an on-site climbing school.
