Benson is a small town with an old-fashioned Western atmosphere located southeast of Tucson, Arizona and is best known for being the gateway to Kartchner Cavern State Park, which has cave tours, exhibits and a Discovery Center for kids, as well as plenty of opportunities for hiking and camping. Benson is also home to the San Pedro Golf Course and the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.     • Benson KOA has RV sites, tent sites, bed and breakfast rooms and cabin rentals. Cable TV is available at no additional charge at all RV spaces, along with wireless Internet. The park offers pull-through sites, LP gas, a swimming pool, hot tub, camping kitchen and miniature golf course. Benson KOA has its own library, playground, game room and cafe. Guests can also use the park bath house and laundry, fax, computer and copy services. Groceries are available in the camp store and non-denominational church services are conducted October through April.

    Butterfield RV Resort and Observatory

    • Butterfield RV Resort and Observatory is open winter and summer, and offers a huge number of activities for guests. The park has a swimming pool, banquet hall, laundry, library, clubhouse, pavilion and barbecue area. Line dance, golf, hike, do water aerobics, play Bingo and cards, enjoy live entertainment or take trips to the casinos. Butterfield holds regular potluck dinners, breakfasts, ice cream socials and holiday parties. One of the major attractions of Butterfield is, of course, the observatory, which holds nightly sessions and is free to all guests. RV sites feature telephone hook-ups, cable TV, and 20/30/50-amp service. Both back-in and pull-through spaces are available. All ages are welcome. The park is also pet-friendly, with two fenced exercise yards.
