Lakeview, Oregon is located on the edge of the Oregon High Desert and at the foot of the Warner Mountains. Lakeview is known for its natural attractions; in addition to the mountain and the desert. The name of "Lakeview" originally came from its excellent view of nearby Goose Lake. The city has long been an agricultural trading center, and this, along with its hills, valleys, lakes and desert, leads to the area sometimes being called "Oregon's Outback." Recreation vehicle (RV) campers coming to enjoy the scenery and sights of the Lakeview area will find several different parks suitable to their needs.
  1. Mile-Hi Trailer and RV Park

    • Mile-Hi is close to Lakeridge Golf Course.

      Mile-Hi has 21 RV sites, all with full utility hook-ups. The prime attraction of Mile-Hi is its location. Hiking, sightseeing, skiing, fishing, golfing, and water sports like swimming and boating are popular activities at Mile-Hi because the camp offers views of nearby Black Clap, and is located close to the Highgrade Trail, Bullard Canyon, the Lakeridge Golf Course, the Goose Lake State Recreation area and Warner Valley. The campground also offers hot showers and a laundry room.

    Goose Lake State Recreation Area

    • Bird-watching is a major attraction of Goose Lake State Recreation Area.

      Goose Lake State Recreation Area is part of the Oregon State Parks system. It's adjacent to the lake and lies on the border between California and Oregon. A large number of birds and wildlife, including a herd of mule deer, make the area ideal for bird- and nature-watching. Goose Lake Recreation Area is close to the Warner Mountains and the Hart Mountain Wildlife Refuge. The camp also offers shower facilities, tent sites, picnic tables, hiking trails, an RV dump station, telephones, and boating access. Forty-eight sites with electrical hook-ups are also available. Pets are allowed, as long as they are held on a leash while outside your tent or vehicle.

    Junipers Reservoir RV Resort

    • Well-behaved cats and dogs are allowed at Junipers Reservoir.

      Junipers Reservoir RV Resort is open from May through October, and is open not only to RV campers but also tent and trailer campers. The park overlooks 175 acres of Junipers Reservoir and has 40 camping sites, most with electrical and sewage hook-ups. The resort does have an RV dump station onsite, as well as bathrooms and laundry facilities. At Junipers Reservoir, you can play volleyball and horseshoes, watch TV, and drink water from the camp's deep well. The camp is Wi-Fi-friendly, and campfires are permitted depending on the weather. A pavilion and propane grill area is also provided. Pets are allowed in the park, as long as they are well-behaved and kept leashed.
