Columbia, Kentucky, is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Adair County, in the south-central part of the U.S. state of Kentucky. The population was 4,452 at the 2010 census.

The city is located roughly halfway between Louisville and Nashville at the intersection of U.S. Routes 68 and 80.

The climate in Columbia is temperate, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual temperature is 53 degrees Fahrenheit, with an average annual precipitation of 46 inches.

Columbia was founded in 1792 and incorporated in 1802. The city is named for Christopher Columbus.
