Private Villas in Orlando

For a family looking to get away to Orlando, Florida, renting a private villa may be the economical way to go -- 12 people can share a villa for a week for the cost of a single hotel room. Lower rates are available at most villas just before or after the holidays, which are the peak season. Some owners of private villas will even consider a house swap.
  1. Lucaya Village Resort

    • Lucaya Village Resort is nine miles from Walt Disney World and is close to the other amusement parks, shopping, dining and other Orlando attractions. Lucaya Village offers two-, three- and four-bedroom villas. Each villa is a townhouse, with amenities that include a washer and dryer, a full kitchen and flat-panel cable television. The villas at Lucaya Village do not have private, individual pools -- the resort has a pool, hot tub, clubhouse and gym for the use of guests. The grounds also have a barbecue area and a play area.

    Tuscana

    • Tuscana is an Orlando resort five minutes from Disney World, about 10 minutes from Universal Studios and less than 10 minutes from Sea World, restaurants and golf courses. The villas at Tuscana are two- or three-bedroom condo-style units that come with full hotel amenities and staff but offer the privacy of a home. The resort grounds house a large clubhouse, with a 30-seat movie theater and fitness center. Tuscana has a pool area that guests share, with a heated pool, hot tub, children's pool with fountain and shaded cabanas. The resort has a poolside restaurant and bar, the Tuscana Tavern, which is open to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Villa Pip

    • A private villa, such as Villa Pip, offers additional privacy. The villa is in the gated community of Cumbrian Lakes, 10 minutes from the Disney complex and Orlando's other attractions. The two-story villa sleeps up to 12 people, with two bedrooms downstairs and three upstairs -- including a master suite. The villa also has three bathrooms, including a private bath in the master suite. Amenities include a washer and dryer and a games room with a pool table. The back of the villa features a private, screened-in pool area with a heated pool, Jacuzzi and a deck facing a conservation area.

    Saratoga Springs

    • Disney World's Saratoga Springs resort has an equestrian theme, and it is named for New York's Saratoga Springs spa and retreat. This Disney resort is adjacent to Disney World. The resort had six sections that feature different types of villas, ranging from a simple studio that sleeps four, to a three-bedroom deluxe villa. The resort is also known for its private, three-bedroom Treehouse Villas, which are elevated 10 feet off the ground, surrounded by lush greenery and situated next to the Sassagoula River. The resort offers full spa treatments, houses a health club, four pools, restaurants, tennis, golf, outdoor movies and an arcade.
