The Hawaiian climate is generally mild; however, there is a rainy season from October through March, which also brings cooler temperatures ranging from the low 60s to mid 70s. Temperatures the rest of the year range from the low 70s to mid 80s. Travelers visiting Hawaii during the rainy season may want to bring a light jacket for cooler nights and an umbrella for daytime showers.
Hawaii's major airport is Honolulu International Airport, located on the island of Oahu. However, each of the six other main Hawaiian Islands has its own airport that accommodates flights between the islands. Oahu was once home to Polynesian royalty before becoming the fiftieth state and has many historical sites. The island of Maui is where most of the locals live and home to restaurants that serve traditional Polynesian cuisine. Numerous resorts, dance clubs and shopping malls are located on Hawaii's Big Island, which is the most "touristy" of them all.
