Doan's Bones Barbecue is a family-owned restaurant located in Petersburg, Pennsylvania. It features an indoor dining area as well as outdoor tables. The restaurant began in 2003 as a simple fire pit and a tent. Soon, it transformed into a full rib shack before taking on its current form as a complete barbecue restaurant. Appetizers on the menu include spicy pub pickles, mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. Wings are sold by the dozen with sauces like BBQ, maple BBQ, spicy BBQ and garlic parmesan. Burgers and sandwiches help round out the menu. Entrees include baby back ribs in three sizes (1/4 rack, 1/2 rack and full rack), grilled chicken, pulled pork and haddock filet. There are also barbecue combos that include a game day pack fro two to our people, which comes with two racks of ribs, a quart of pulled pork and two dozen wings.

Skeeters Pit BBQ, open Sunday through Thursday, is traditional-looking restaurant with wooden tables, seats and paneling throughout. It resembles a cabin in the woods and is a great stop-off point for anyone traveling on routes 11 and 15 through the center of the state. Finger foods sold here include Skeeter wings, riblets, Skeeter's chunky chili and chicken fingers. Pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches are also available. The brisket is a popular choice, having been slow-cooked for 18 hours. Barbecue platters include Skeeter's signature full and half rack of ribs; rib combo platters, which pair ribs with chicken, pulled pork or beef brisket; and the barbecue platter, which includes pork, chicken or beef with a corn muffin, coleslaw and baked beans.
