Seafood Restaurants Near Disney World

Spending a day at Disney World can consume the energy of even the heartiest soul, though at least the exhaustion does come from having fun. Afterword, finding a place to sit down for a meal is a good idea. Luckily, many restaurants are nearby, including several that focus on providing tasty seafood options.

  1. Joe's Crab Shack

    • Joe’s Crab Shack first emerged in Houston in 1991, built by a pair of men who traveled along the gulf coast, stopping at every crab shack along the way. It grew quickly and expanded into other markets, one of them being Orlando, Florida. Its location is about 8 miles from Disney World, which involves driving mainly from through the Disney-owned lands around the actual parks, and one of the most popular restaurants in the area for seafood. Start off with a bucket of shrimp or the “Crazy Good” crab dip, which are two of the specialties. For a main dish, try grilled salmon and mahi mahi, as well as a multitude of crab and shrimp dishes, like the Fisherman’s Platter, which features calamari, popcorn shrimp, fried butterfly shrimp and coconut shrimp. There are also steam pots available, which toss spiced Dungeness and snow crab together with shrimp, sausage, and potatoes, and then steam them all to perfection.
