The cooler temperatures and lack of fresh water sources in Bermuda keep the bug population much lower than that of the average tropical island. The moist heat may feel like the tropics, but you'll notice the absence of pesky flies, midges, sand fleas and mosquitoes at any time of year.
According to the Bermuda Tourism Council, there is no true rainy season, but rain is more likely in the cooler months. The most rain falls in October.
Taking into account the availability of good deals, warm ocean temperatures and lack of potential for hurricanes, the best time to cruise to Bermuda is the middle of May. It's also the best time for adult vacations, since most schools are still in session.
