Do Kids Eat Free at Radisson Hotels?

Some of the more than 400 Radisson and Radisson Blu Hotels in 68 countries around the globe do offer a "kids eat free" inducement, but travelers beware: From Halifax to Cairo, each hotel has its own rules and regulations, from age limits to height restrictions.
If you are traveling with children, check your hotel's specific offers before you make your reservation.

  1. Restrictions

    • The policies on age are all over the map, from "up to 12" to "under 3." One hotel gives free breakfast for kids under 5 but raises the bar to under 12 to eat dinner free--accompanied by a paying adult.
In Dubai, children eat free if they are "under 3.5 feet.".

    Maximum number

    • Some Radisson hotels limit the maximum number of children to two.
Some require two adults to eat with them (at full price). This could be a consideration for single parents of three children.

    Children's menu

    • Most Radissons restrict the free meals perk to lobby hotels (and none allow it for room service).
Some require kids to order from the children's menu, specifying one choice from the menu per child (some hotels allow one beverage per child as well).

    Time spared

    • How many meals also depends on the specific hotel.
Some offer the free food for breakfast, lunch and dinner; others just breakfast and dinner and still others limit the offer to breakfast.

    Consider the price

    • It's up to the guest to decide the value if they are required to eat with their children ordering from the regular menu.
They should also consider whether their children would be awake and hungry for breakfast or dinner or if they will be at the hotel or off sightseeing.
