Long-Term Parking for Cruises in San Diego, California

Taking a cruise along the Mexican Riviera or up the West Coast of the United States often begins in the Port of San Diego. While many people arrive for their cruise from a great distance by plane or train, lots of people reach the pier by car. Since many of the cruises are multi-day adventures, it is necessary to park your car somewhere so that it will be secure and close by when you return from your trip.
  1. No Pier Parking

    • There is no parking on the pier while you are away on your cruise, according to SanDiegoCruisePort.com. You will be able to access the pier by car on the day of your cruise if you present valid identification and your cruise ship ticket dated for that day's departure. This will enable you to unload baggage and get checked in before moving your car to a long-term lot for the duration of your cruise.

    Nearby Lots

    • There are a dozen parking facilities located within a short distance of the cruise terminal. Prices vary depending on where you intend to park. The Port of San Diego does not operate the lots.

The closest parking option is Five Star Parking. Five Star's cruise ship terminal lot is located just across the street from the pier and will not require a shuttle to get to the ship. For each 24-hour period that your car is in the lot is will cost $15. Park and Go is also located close by. This lot is a bit further away, but you can make the walk in a very short time and save a few dollars. The rate at Park and Go is $10 per day.

Many other options are available for prices ranging from $9 to $24 per day, but you will likely want to take a shuttle or taxi from these lots to get to the pier because of the distance.
