WWII Tours in Europe

World War II lasted from 1939 to 1945, and some of the bloodiest battles were fought in Europe.     • Founded in 1970, Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours were started by historian Stephen Ambrose and Peter McLean. The Historical Tours offer a variety of World War II tours. The Band of Brothers Tour follows the footsteps of the paratroopers of Easy Company, 101st Airborne division from the beginning of D-Day to V-E Day. During this tour, you'll travel to the beaches of Normandy and the mountain aerie of Berchtesgaden, where Adolf Hitler once lived. The D-Day to Rhine Tour visits the Churchill War Room in London, aircraft carriers used during World War II at the Battle of Britain Museum and the beaches of Normandy. Accommodations are in hotels.
