Paris is the most obvious city to visit with children because it is home to Disneyland Paris. Much like Disneyland in California or Disney World in Florida, the park is full of Disney characters, rides and attractions to keep any child entertained. Another great theme park is Playmobil Funpark. This theme park is based on the Playmobil toys and finds 12 different play settings including on the farm, the city and knights. There is play places for children of all ages. Parc Asterix is also a theme park, based on a popular French television show and located near Paris. Roller coasters and other rides fill the park geared for children. You can even see a water mammal show. A unique place to take children is France Miniature, a park that has more than 150 miniature French monuments children can play on.
Venice is one of the oldest cities in the world and is a good vacation spot to take children. There are no major amusement parks, but there is plenty of places to entertain your children. The Piazza San Marco is a famous attraction in Venice and a place where children can get in touch with nature and feed the pigeons that surround the square. You can take your children up to the Campanile (bell tower) to see the square from above. In East Venice children will enjoying seeing the variety of boats on display at the Museo Storico Navale (naval museum) and you can visit the Viale Garibaldi and the Public Gardens where children can run and play in the afternoon sun.
London is one of the biggest and busiest cities in the world. It is full of attractions and activities to entertain children of any age. Adventure Parks are scattered across the big, green parks of London, including the Princess Diana Memorial Playground near Kensington Gardens. These playgrounds are accompanied by the open areas of the parks they are adjoined to and children can run free and play games in the fields. You could even pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it. Children also will love London Zoo in Regent's Park and its aquarium along River Thames. Many museums, like The Natural History Museum and Science Museum, have interactive exhibits that not only entertain children but educate as well. Shopping can even be geared toward children in London at places like Hamleys and Harrod's Toy Shops.
