Decide where you'd like your adventures to take place. Are you especially interested in Europe? Or do you want to study penguins in Antarctica? You need to have a clear idea of what interests you and where you want to go with your adventures, and what you want to get out of them.
Choose an avenue for your adventures. With the financing, you could simply hop on a plane and go, but becoming a volunteer is another way to experience adventure. The planet is filled with places and peoples in need of assistance. While traveling to far-off locales on other continents, you could do some good while adventuring at the same time.
Be ready for anything. You will learn that the best adventures do not occur on schedule. Look for opportunities to learn new skills and find out all you can about the place to which you have traveled. Don't be stringent with your itinerary, and instead see where your adventure takes you.
Keep track of your adventures with a journal, pictures, even a blog. You'll want to make sure you have a record of your adventures for other people to read about and see. Or you may even want to keep this record just for your own memories. You can read it over later, relive the experiences and think about all the things you've learned.
Always be open to new opportunities, even ones that arise that you hadn't planned upon. You'll never know where a trip can take you, or what your next trip will be. Be flexible and ready to go at a moment's notice. Pack lightly, but bring your sense of adventure.
