It is open from 8 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. for guests aged 16 to 20, although 14- and 15-year-olds are also allowed to attend if they have signed parental permission. While under-21s won't be allowed into the nightclub section upstairs, they are free to enjoy soft drinks and food in the lounge and restaurant section below. Because many clubbers eat dinner before heading upstairs, the restaurant has a chic club feel and the patrons are often dressed to the nines. Tao's website boasts that they offer the "hippest 'vibe dining' in town" and point out that they are a firm favorite with celebrities. This famous music venue often hosts concerts with no age-limit restrictions. Located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel, the House of Blues opened in 1999 and boasts an open air balcony, a huge ballroom chandelier, and murals made from bottle caps. A metal box filled with Delta Mississippi mud lies beneath the stage to infuse some southern culture to the acts rocking out above it.
