Languages of Pakistan: There Is No 'Pakistani' Language

The phrase "speak Pakistani" is a misconception because there is no single language called Pakistani. Pakistan is a multilingual country with several official languages. The most widely spoken and understood is Urdu, which serves as the national language and lingua franca. To say "speak Urdu" in Urdu, one would say "اردو بولیں" (Urdu bolen) or "اردو میں بولیں" (Urdu mein bolen). Other major regional languages include Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, and Balochi.
