Is it safe to travel Afghanistan?

According to these official advisory services, the threat of terrorist attacks, military engagements, violent crime, kidnapping, and robbery is extremely high throughout the country. Due to heightened political sensitivities, Westerners or foreigners may be a specific target. Moreover, essential services—ranging from medical to government support—are extremely limited even in the capital city of Kabul.
