What to Wear to the Blue Lagoon, Iceland

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa (37–40°C / 98–104°F) in a lava field. Dress for comfort, warmth, and the unique environment:

Essentials

• Swimwear: Required (no nudity in main lagoon). Bring your own or rent on-site.
• Towel & Bathrobe: Included with Comfort/Premium/Luxury packages; rentable with Basic. Bring a dry robe for after.
• Flip-flops / Water Sandals: Lava rock is sharp and hot; protect feet walking to/from water.
• Waterproof Bag/Case: For phone/camera (silica mud stains).

• Hair Protection: Silica mud ruins hair texture—apply heavy conditioner (provided) before entering, tie hair up, avoid submerging.
• Hydration: Bring water bottle (dehydration risk in hot water).
