Mercury Milan Cabin Air Filter Location & Reset Procedure (2006–2011)

Cabin Air Filter Location: Behind the glove box.

🔧 Replacement Steps:

1. Open glove box.
2. Squeeze sides to release stops; lower glove box fully.
3. Locate filter cover at top of opening.
4. Squeeze cover tabs; pull cover down.
5. Remove old filter (note airflow arrow direction).
6. Insert new filter (arrow pointing down/toward blower).
7. Reinstall cover, raise glove box, re-engage stops.

🔄 Reset Filter Life Monitor (if equipped):

1. Key ON (engine off).
2. Press & hold TRIP button.
3. Turn key to START (crank), then back to ON. Hold TRIP.
4. After ~3 sec, display shows "TEST". Release TRIP.
5. Press & release TRIP until "CABIN AIR FILTER" shows.
6. Press & hold TRIP until "RESET" appears, then "COMPLETED".

Interval: Every 15,000–30,000 miles or annually. More often in dusty/polluted areas. Use quality filter (Motorcraft, Fram, Wix, Purolator).
