What kind of money do they use in Bulgaria?
Bulgaria uses the lev as its official currency. The lev (plural: leva) is denoted by the symbol лв and has the ISO code BGN. It was introduced in 1881, replacing the Ottoman lira, and has been in use ever since, except during periods of foreign occupation or regime change. The lev is issued by the Bulgarian National Bank and is divided into 100 stotinki (singular: stotinka). Banknotes and coins in various denominations are used as currency in Bulgaria.
