What is the best currency to take Cuba?

- CUC and CUP are only valid within Cuba - you can NOT transfer funds out of Cuba in those currencies

- Foreign currencies with the best possible exchange rate are Euros, Canadian Dollars, GBP's (British Pounds Sterling). But any major currency may be exchanged

- U.S. Dollars can only be exchanged with a 10% penalty or fee.

*So unless you only have dollars, then bring any other possible foreign currency to get a fair-er exchange rate for CUC´s.*
