1. Open a Japanese bank account.
- You can do this online, through a Japanese embassy or consulate, or by visiting a Japanese bank in person.
- You will need your passport, a proof of address and funds.
2. Deposit money into your Japanese bank account.
- You can do this by depositing cash, transferring money internationally, or using a debit or credit card.
3. Link your Japanese bank account to your TransferWise account.
- Log in to your TransferWise account and go to the "Balances" tab.
- Click on "Add a balance" and select "Japanese Yen".
- Enter your Japanese bank account details and click on "Add".
4. Transfer money to your Japanese bank account.
- Log in to your TransferWise account and go to the "Transfer" tab.
- Select "Japanese Yen" as the currency you want to send.
- Enter the amount you want to send and click on "Continue".
- Select your linked Japanese bank account as the recipient.
- Review your transfer and click on "Confirm".

4. Receive your Japanese yen
- If selecting a physical pick-up, visit the location to collect the currency.
