Where is mekele?

Mekele is located in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. It is situated at around 13.5° North latitude and 39.5° East longitude. Mekele is the capital city of the Tigray Region and is the largest city in the region. It is located in the northern part of Ethiopia, about 780 kilometers (485 miles) north of the capital city of Addis Ababa.
