The Mystery Dinner Playhouse is a popular theater restaurant with locations in Williamsburg, Richmond and Virginia Beach. It is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday to the public and during the week for private parties of 40 people or more. Dinner consists of either a buffet or a four course meal served by cast members. The four course meal includes your choice between four entrees that include a fish of the day, chicken breast with a seasonal cause, a vegetarian dish and sliced sirloin beef with mushroom gravy. Alcohol is available for purchase at its full cash bar. During this comedy mystery the shows are broken down into five, 10 to15 scripted scenes and audience members can try to solve the mystery. Blair Mason Inn is a staple in its community. Built in 1889, this restaurant has been serving the Washington DC area for centuries. Currently it hosts a mystery dinner theater every Friday and Saturday. The ticket price includes a buffet style meal, non-alcoholic beverages, dessert and the show. Children five and under are free and kids between the ages of six and eleven are half price. The shows change up every month or two. Past performances include Mystery in Mo' Town, One Life to Lose and A Talent to Die For. Private events are also available for lunch and dinner.

During each show guests are always part of the skit and they sometimes use guests suggestions to create an improv comedy sketch.
