Dinner theaters are great way to try something little different on your evening out. They're extremely entertaining, interactive and are sure to be memorable. There are generally two types of dinner theaters to choose from: mystery theater and drama/musical theater. Either option is a good choice and Philadelphia has a few different dinner theaters on the menu.
Bistro Romano is an Italian restaurant located in an 18th Century granary. It has been in operation since 1988 and is known as the Original Mystery Theatre. On Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant hosts murder mystery dinner parties. Guests also have the option of renting the 120 Room for private parties. Bistro Romano has been recognized with Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly Award and many other honors from critics.

Fisher's Tudor House is a murder mystery dinner theater that has been in business since 1972. The menu consists of mostly seafood but also has pub and children's menu and an extensive wine list. Murder mysteries are hosted on Saturday nights with professional actors and are interactive comedies. Holiday and New Year's evenings are also hosted by the restaurant. All murder mystery guests must be at least 18 years old.

The Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is a family restaurant located a drive down Interstate 30 from Philadelphia. Guests can plan an overnight stay if they wish to break open the bubbly or just want to enjoy a little getaway. Shows included musicals such as "The King and I," "White Christmas," "Meet Me in St. Louis" and "Rent." Shows change monthly, with season schedules posted on the restaurant's website. The restaurant has a large wine list, and customized breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
