Ballantyne is a retail and commercial district located in the southern section of the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte's Ballantyne section was named after well known Charlotte developer Howard C. "Smoky" Bissell's aunt Barbara Ballantyne. Several restaurants are located in and around the Ballantyne area that offer a variety of dining options.
Cantina Fifteen Eleven offers authentically prepared Mexican cuisine. It's decorated with a southwestern theme, with an outdoor dining area open during spring and summer. Many dishes are served in Mexican style terra cotta bowls. You can choose from burritos, tacos and enchiladas, prepared with choice of fillings, which include seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, caramelized poblano peppers and a variety of Mexican cheese. You can order tacos with white corn or crispy tortilla shells, paired with pico de gallo and chipolte crema.

The Miro Spanish Grill offers a predominately Spanish menu, with a few items from Latin America for lunch and dinner. You will find a creative assortment of tapas, and a traditional sopa de Pollo, a rich chicken soup with rice. House specialties include a signature paella with shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, calamari and chicken. There are also several vegetarian dishes. An expansive wine list offers choices from Argentina, Spain and Chile.

Ballantyne's Jo Jo's China Bistro serves pan-Asian style cuisine for lunch and dinner in a modern style dining room. The restaurant also offers curbside pick up and home or office delivery. Signature dishes include seafood tossed vermicelli with shrimp and mushrooms, and the sub-gum wontons for two, paired with Shanghai bok-choy, tomato, mushrooms and snow peas.
Desserts include a pina colada gelato and pineapple sorbet, served in a natural fruit shell.
