A specialty of the house is the Dutch baby, a spongy cake made with eggs, flour and milk, served with whipped butter, lemon and powdered sugar. Others include the Danish kijafa cherry crepes, the apple pancakes and the vegetarian omelet stuffed with broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms and aged cheddar cheese.     Lucy's Table

    • Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, Lucy's Table is in the northwestern Portland area. As of August 2010, the restaurant held "Zagat" ratings of "very good to excellent" for its food, decor and service. Eleven small plate appetizers begin the menu, including goat cheese ravioli, foie gras on brioche toast and pomegranate baby back ribs. A featured entree is the pork cheek cannelloni, stuffed with Morbier cheese, pork belly and brussel sprouts. Another is the halibut, served with chickpea risotto and a salad made with mango and hearts of palms. For dessert, try the creme brulee. The wine list features more than 125 selections by the bottle. Lucy's Table serves lunch and dinner Mondays through Saturdays. The restaurant is closed Sunday. Reservations are highly recommended. Business casual attire is suggested. Outdoor dining is available, weather permitting.

    Typhoon!

    • Located in the Portland suburb of Beaverton, Typhoon! is a Thai restaurant established in October 2003. The restaurant held "Zagat" dining guide ratings of "very good to excellent" for its food, service and decor. The menu begins with 14 appetizers, such as the miang kum, ginger, lime, toasted peanuts, dried shrimp, coconut flakes and a signature sauce served with lettuce leaves for wrapping. A signature entree is the Gulf of Siam Curry, which consists of crab meat, calamari, prawns, mussels, bell peppers and basil leaves in a red curry sauce. Another featured entree is the Balinese pork tenderloin, cooked in a ginger sauce with fried shallots. The restaurant offers beer and wine and features 25 varieties of Asian green teas. Typhoon! serves lunch Mondays through Saturdays and dinner nightly. Reservations are suggested. Casual attire is the norm when dining at the restaurant.
