Located along the ocean in Miami Beach, Fontainebleau is a luxury resort with 1,504 guest rooms and a spa, free-form swimming pool with private cabanas and high-end shopping area with four boutiques. Guests at the Fontainebleau can choose from three high-end and four casual restaurants with options including Asian, Italian and French-Mediterranean cuisines.

  1. Scarpetta

    • Specializing in Italian cuisine, Scarpetta opened in December 2008 and overlooks the Fontainebleau pool area. The restaurant held "Zagat" dining guide ratings of "extraordinary to perfection" for its decor and "very good to excellent" for its food and service as of September 2010. Previously, the restaurant had received a four-diamond rating from AAA Motor Club as well. The menu begins with 11 appetizers, such as the Mediterranean octopus with fingerling potatoes or the mackerel tartar with balsamic vinaigrette and fresh basil. A signature entree is the spaghetti with fresh tomatoes and basil. Another is the ravioli stuffed with foie gras and duck breast. Scarpetta serves dinner nightly. Reservations are highly suggested and accepted online and by phone. Business casual attire is appropriate. Outdoor dining is available on the restaurant's patio.

    Hakkasan

    • Hakkasan features Chinese cuisine, particularly Cantonese style. As of September 2010, the restaurant held "Zagat" ratings of "extraordinary to perfection" for its food and decor and "very good to excellent" for its service. The restaurant is also a AAA Motor Club four-diamond rating recipient and received the award for "Best Chinese Restaurant" from the "Miami New Times." Twenty appetizers lead the menu, such as the Peking duck with caviar, the sesame prawn toast and the wild mushroom lettuce wraps. Among the entrees are jasmine tea smoked chicken, black pepper ribeye beef and roasted silver cod with champagne and Chinese honey. Hakkasan serves dim sum at lunch time on weekends and is open for dinner nightly. Reservations are highly suggested and accepted online and by phone. Attire is business casual.

    La Cote

    • La Cote gets its name from the Cote d'Azur region in France, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The menu at the restaurant reflects its name, combining elements of both French and Mediterranean cuisine. The two-story restaurant overlooks both the beach and the pool at Fontainebleau. Five appetizers start the menu, such as the platter of Greeke mezze-like hummus and tabouleh salad and the assortment of fresh vegetables with olive and mustard dressing. The restaurant also features a raw bar that serves selections like oysters on the half-shell and tuna tartar. An entree, the tomato and brie quiche, comes with a field greens salad. Another featured main dish is the grilled Maine lobster accompanied by relish made from truffles and corn. La Cote is open for lunch and early dinner daily. Reservations are accepted by phone and online. Casual attire is acceptable.
