  1. Hockeytown Cafe

    • Located across the street from the Fox Theatre, Hockeytown Cafe is a casual eating place that pays tribute to the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings. The menu even begins with an appetizer named after the team, the Red Wings--deep fried chicken wings dipped in a spicy sauce and served with blue cheese or ranch dressing. For the main course, Hockeytown is known for its signature burger, a half-pound patty topped with lettuce, tomato and red onion with a choice of American, Swiss, cheddar or provolone cheese. Another signature dish is the sizzler steak, an 8-oz. sirloin served with whipped potatoes and mixed vegetables. The restaurant features a full bar with a number of beers on draft. Hockeytown Cafe is open daily for lunch and dinner. Casual attire is appropriate.
