Lower East Side NYC Italian Restaurants

A neighborhood in southeast Manhattan, the Lower East Side was home to immigrants for most of the 19th and 20th centuries, though the area is becoming increasingly gentrified. Among the neighborhood's famous residents are Irving Berlin and Eddie Cantor. The Lower East Side has several historic landmarks, like the CBGB nightclub, the Bowery Mission, the Knickerbocker Village and the Henry Street Settlement. The area still attracts food-lovers, with various authentic Italian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Polish restaurants in business.
