How much cash one can carry from India to Dubai?

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), resident Indians are allowed to carry up to USD 10,000 in cash while travelling to Dubai. Any amount exceeding USD 10,000 must be declared to the customs authorities at the port of departure in India and upon arrival in Dubai. For non-resident Indians, there are no restrictions on the amount of cash that they can carry. However, they must declare any cash they are carrying at the port of arrival.
