Time to travelle Wales from Scotland by car?

Option 1: Driving via the A7 road

* Travel time: Approximately 8 hours

* Route:

1. Start your journey from Scotland and head south on the A7 road.

2. Continue on the A7 road, passing through several towns and villages, including Galashiels, Selkirk, and Langholm.

3. Cross the border into England and continue on the A7 road.

4. Pass through the town of Carlisle and continue south on the M6 motorway.

5. Stay on the M6 motorway until you reach the junction with the A55 road.

6. Take the A55 road and follow it west towards Wales.

7. Pass through the towns of Chester and Wrexham.

8. Continue on the A55 road until you reach your destination in Wales.

Option 2: Driving via the M6 and A5 roads

* Travel time: Approximately 9 hours

* Route:

1. Start your journey from Scotland and head south on the M74 motorway.

2. Continue on the M74 motorway until you reach the junction with the M6 motorway.

3. Take the M6 motorway and follow it south into England.

4. Stay on the M6 motorway until you reach the junction with the A5 road.

5. Take the A5 road and follow it west towards Wales.

6. Pass through the towns of Shrewsbury and Oswestry.

7. Continue on the A5 road until you reach your destination in Wales.
