Train Trips in North Georgia

Tucked among scenic mountain vistas and pristine lakes, North Georgia has a history deeply tied to the railroad business. Throughout the 1800s, cotton and other products were shipped via rail to markets on the East Coast. By 1850, there were more miles of train tracks in the state of Georgia than in any other southern state. Today, the beauty and history of Northern Georgia comes alive while riding the rails on scenic train trips.
