Train Trips in North Carolina

North Carolina features more than 3,200 miles of railroad track spread across the state, many of which are used for scenic excursions. Some of these trains are based out of museums and feature antique equipment, such as turn-of-the-century diesel or steam locomotives. Most locations remain open daily during the summer and operate on scattered dates throughout the rest of the year.
