The La Conservancy has been offering guided walking tours for over 25 years and teaching residents and tourists about the city of Los Angeles. These tours have been used for vacationers, field trips, social clubs, corporate outings and birthday parties. Scheduled tours in 2010 often begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and groups have the option of visiting the Broadway Historic District, Union Station, Angelino Heights, Historic Core and Downtown's Modern Skyline sections of Los Angeles. The total walking distance is between one and two miles, and the tours last about 2 1/2 hours. As of 2010, the cost for adults is $10 and $5 for children under 10.
The Off N' Running Tour takes guests to the scenic areas of Los Angeles and offers them an opportunity to visit attractions in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles as well. The tours are 4.5 miles and cost $60 per person as of 2010. The "Running from the Paparazzi" tour take runners from Wilshire Boulevard to Rodeo Drive, while the "Marvelous Mansions Tour" offers runners a chance to see fwell-known Hollywood mansions and where famous films where shot. The "Pacific Pleasures Running Tour in Santa Monica" goes along the ocean, and guests are able to visit the Santa Monica Pier and run through canyons overlooking the ocean.
The Urban Shopping Adventures take tours through the trendy shopping districts in Los Angeles. Guests are able to learn about the latest designs in fashion, accessories, home décor and textiles. Tours are available through the LA Fashion District, Melrose Heights, Pasadena and Rodeo Drive. All the tour packages are under $54 a person in 2010, and a gourmet boxed breakfast and fixed-price lunch are also available for additional charges.
