Desert Eagle RV Park is a U.S. military RV park located behind the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital and across the street from the Nellis Air Force Base. Authorized users include active military, reservists, retired military and certain disabled veterans of the U.S. armed forces. The park is open year-round. Pets are welcome. In addition to the usual water, electricity and sewage hook-ups, amenities include swimming, golf, jogging paths, a fitness center, a library, a snack bar, a movie theater, a clubhouse with a game and TV room, a picnic area and playground, showers, laundry facilities, a chapel, a pharmacy, a clinic, mail forwarding services and a post office, and free Wi-Fi throughout the park. Temporary RV storage, arts and crafts and hobby shops make extended stays more pleasurable. Guests may stay six months but must leave for at least 30 days before returning to the park. Big-rig sites are available. In 2010, overflow sites and tent sites were $7 per night, RV sites with water, sewer and 50-amp electric hook-ups were $20; RV sites with water and 50-amp electric hook-ups were $16. It is advisable to make reservations six months in advance.
Road Runner RV Park is 10 minutes off the Strip. Located nearby are an iHop and Walgreen's pharmacy. The park is midway between Arizona Charlie's Hotel and Casino and Sam's Town Casino. The park has on-site slot machines. The landscaped sites all have water, sewer and 50-amp electric hook-ups. Telephone hook-ups are available. Park amenities include free coffee, pay telephones, a pool and whirlpool, laundry facilities, private showers, a reading room and on-site mail boxes. In 2010, the first three nights were $16 per night and each additional night was $20.
Main Street Casino is a Victorian-themed 28,000 square-foot casino that offers RV parking right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. In 2010, RV sites were $19 per night. Sites have water, sewer and 50-amp electric hook-ups. Pull-through and big-rig sites are available. The park has a 24-hour armed security patrol. Pets are welcome. Main Street Casino is two blocks from Fremont Street where guests may enjoy free concerts and roaming street performers. Wireless Internet and private showers are available.
Thousand Trails Las Vegas is a membership campground that offers 209 full hookup RV sites. In 2010, the site rate for members of Thousand Trails ranged from $1 to $5 per night. The park's family center features a pool table, television and kitchenette. Amenities include horseshoe pits, laundry facilities, playground, spa, swimming pool with cabanas and propane BBQ. A Super WalMart is nearby. Wi-Fi access is available to members. The park is 6 miles from the Strip.
