Contrary to popular belief, going on a cruise can be one of the most economical ways to go on an inexpensive getaway. At certain times of the year the price of a cruise is less expensive, such as when school is in session or before and after holidays. Lodging is available at Santa's Lodge, or you can camp at Lake Rudolph Campground. The Lodge offers a few different packages. However, one two-night package is a true bargain. As of October 2010, a Friday and Saturday night stay is 266.99 plus tax. For your two nights, you get a gift in your from Santa's lodge, Christmas dinner on Friday night, tree-lighting ceremony, a bedtime story with Santa on Saturday night and breakfast with Santa Sunday morning. Attractions in Santa Claus Town include the Santa museum, Santa's candy castle and Holiday World amusement park, where you get free unlimited soft drinks all day, every day. As of October 2010, admission to Holiday World is $41.95 for adults and $31.95 for kids. Children under two are free.
