Families looking for things to do in St. Louis, Missouri, will find many options, from visiting the famous Gateway Arch to exploring the City Museum and watching the Cardinals play ball at Busch Stadium. There are also many restaurants to choose from in St. Louis that offer fun experiences for kids.
Originally named Fitz's Drive-In when it opened in 1947, Fitz's is known for its root beer, which is brewed on location using vintage bottling equipment. Kids can watch the bottling line in action while eating in the main dining room, although Fitz's recommends calling ahead because they do not bottle every day. The colorfully decorated restaurant has a children's menu with items such as hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and pizza. Dessert options include milkshakes, sundaes and five types of ice cream floats that use Fitz's root beer or one of their other flavors of soda pop. Fitz's is also available for field trips for school groups.
