All-Inclusive Family Cruises

Today's cruise vacations aren't just for honeymooners or the senior citizen set. Families with small children and teenagers can set sail on a high-seas adventure with all-inclusive cruise packages. The term all-inclusive typically means that meals and sometimes alcohol is included in the price. Individual cruise lines may designate exclusions to the package. The all-inclusive family trip can be a more economical way to travel as a family, and a number of cruise lines are eager for you and your children to join them.
  1. Disney Cruise Lines

    • Even grown-ups love Mickey Mouse, so it's not just kids who will enjoy a cruise on one of Disney's three grand ships. Offering cruises that navigate the Bahamas, the Mediterranean, Mexico, Alaska and Northern Europe, your family will experience the same Disney magic on-board as in their theme parks. In fact, their cruise line is a Disney theme park on water. Your family can choose from Disney shows, pools, character greetings, and there are at least 13 kids' clubs designed to engage children from infancy to teens.

    Norwegian Cruise Lines

    • In 2011, Norwegian Cruise Lines will offer two Nickelodeon at Sea family cruises. The February cruise will see you at ports-of-call in Florida, the Bahamas and New York City. If your family wants to travel a bit father, in July Nickelodeon at Sea will cruise the Western Mediterranean where you can explore ancient Pompeii, certain Italian cities and even Barcelona, Spain. Water features, kids' clubs and teen clubs are designed to give both kids and parents relief, and your kids will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite Nickelodeon stars. Beware: The likelihood of getting "slimed" is very high.

    Carnival

    • Tell your kids they have pizza and ice cream available 24/7, and you won't have any trouble getting them to board ship. While there are healthier meal options available, the food isn't the only accommodation Carnival makes to satisfy your family. Camp Carnival provides age-appropriate activities for children aged 2-11 so you can take in some "me" time at the Serenity adult-only area.
