Family Cruise Information

In the past decade, cruise lines have recognized the value of offering cruises that appeal to the whole family. Now, almost every major cruise line offers child-friendly cruise packages, often including activities such as science experiments and art classes for children as part of the ship's program.
  1. Disney Cruise Line

    • Disney Cruise Lines was launched with families in mind from the beginning. The cruise options range from three-night Bahamian cruises to 14-night Transatlantic cruises. The ship's activities are designed specifically with families and children in mind.

    Royal Caribbean and Nickelodeon

    • Royal Caribbean and Nickelodeon have recently partnered to offer family-themed cruises. The cruises include entertainment from Nickelodeon stars and shows, as well as activities designed specifically for the parents on the ship.

    Camp Carnival

    • Carnival Cruise Lines offers family cruises with its Camp Carnival packages. The ship includes targeted activities for children ages 2-11. From 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., babysitting is available, so the parents can enjoy the adult entertainment on the ship.

    Norwegian Cruise Lines

    • Norwegian Cruise Lines does not offer a family-specific package. However, all of their cruises include activities designed for children. While many of the cruise lines focus on young children, Norwegian also has activities designed for teenagers.

    Gay/Lesbian Family Cruises

    • R Family Vacations was founded to offer cruises and vacations for gay/lesbian travelers with children. R Family Vacations partners with Norwegian Cruise Lines to host several cruises per year.
