Circle Line Cruises Information

The Circle Line began sailing New York City waters in 1945, offering a different view of the city lovingly referred to as the "Big Apple." Cruises depart daily from Pier 83 in midtown Manhattan, cruising the Hudson River south to the Statue of Liberty and beyond.

      Circle Line offers four sightseeing cruises, each boasting different features and appeal. The Full Island Cruise sails around the island of Manhattan, passing through the Harlem River and under the George Washington Bridge. The Semi-Circle Cruise tours midtown and downtown along the Hudson and East Rivers, sailing north to the United Nations. Harbor Lights Cruises travel the same path but feature sunsets and the Manhattan skyline at night. The Liberty Cruise explores New York Harbor, focusing on the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

    • The Harbor Lights Cruises set sail before sunset and highlights the twinkling Manhattan skyline at night.

      The Full Island Cruise takes approximately three hours and offers two or three daily sailings in spring and summer and one trip per day during fall and winter. The Semi-Circle and Harbor Lights Cruises each last about two hours. The Semi-Circle Cruise offers two or three daily departures depending on the season, while Harbor Lights Cruises depart daily at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. The Liberty Cruise takes 75 minutes and has three daily departures year-round.

    Cost

    • As of November 2010, cruise costs range from $18 for children on the Liberty Cruise to $35 for adults on the Full Island Cruise. Children 2-years-old and under cruise for free.
