Learn about the making of this beverage that has been around since 1886. Watch movies in their 4-D Theater. Take pictures with the 7-foot tall Coca-Cola Polar Bear and purchase souvenirs at the on-site store.     See Puppets

    • Bring kids to Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts. The center opened in 1978, when Muppet Show creator Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog cut the ribbon. Gain an appreciation of the puppeteer artistry. See puppet shows adapted from classic stories and original tales written and performed by center, American and international artists. They recommend getting advanced tickets because of the popularity of their puppet shows. Take a self-guided tour through the museum or participate in one of the museum's scavenger hunts. Exhibits include approximately 350 puppets from around the world, such as Chinese hand puppets, Indonesian shadow puppets, African rod puppets and American puppets made famous by Jim Henson. Enroll your kids in one of their workshops for kindergarteners through 12th graders.

    Learn History

    • Teach your kids about the past by going to the Atlanta History Center. The center, opened in 1990 by Atlanta Historical Society and other local organizations, sits on 33 acres of land and includes a number of historic locations in one. Visit the history museum, Swan House, Tullie Farm, the Centennial Olympic Games Museum, the Margaret Mitchell House, historic gardens and other historic sites. See artifacts, memorabilia and photographs about the Civil War, the Olympics and Georgia golfer Bobby Jones. Participate in programs for children and families, including festivals and summer camps. This center takes more than one day to tour because of the different aspects of Atlanta history covered.
