How long did it take to biuld the tower of London?

Construction on the Tower of London began in the 11th century and continued for several hundred years. The first phase, which included the White Tower, was completed by 1100. Subsequent phases added additional buildings and fortifications to the complex. By the 14th century, the Tower of London had become a fully functioning royal palace, prison, and fortress.
