Is adultery an offense in Mauritius?

Adultery is a criminal offense in Mauritius. Section 301 of the Criminal Code defines adultery as "sexual intercourse by a married person with a person who is not his or her spouse". The maximum penalty for adultery is two years' imprisonment. However, the law is rarely enforced and is currently under review.
