According to the law, a Muslim man is allowed to have up to four wives.
However, there are several conditions that must be met in order for a man to take a second wife. These conditions include:
- He must obtain permission from his current wife or wives
- He must be able to provide for all of his wives and their children both financially and emotionally
- He must treat all of his wives with fairness and equality
If a man does not meet these conditions, he can be punished by the Saudi Arabian government.
